TASPA offers annual statewide conferences three times per year. The association holds a summer conference in July, a fall conference in September, and a winter conference in December. All conferences are held in Austin, Texas. The summer and winter conferences are preceded by a law conference presented and co-hosted by Schwartz & Eichelbaum Law Firm (summer) and The Legal Digest (winter).

Developing Professional Growth Plans Workshop
This half day workshop will provide campus administrators and supervisors with the skills to write professional growth plans that produce positive outcomes for the teacher and the district. Whether your district uses PDAS or a local appraisal instrument, this training will show participants how to utilize documentation to set clear expectations for teachers to improve performance.
Certification Workshops: TASPA is proud to offer training in the area of educator certification, Certification Fundamentals. This workshop is designed not only for HR administrators and staff but for campus administrators and others who have a need to understand certification rules and who are responsible for placing staff in appropriate assignments.
Personnel Skills Workshops, primarily designed to focus on training for campus administrators, directors, and/or supervisors of paraprofessional and auxiliary staff, are held in various locations around the state
These workshops are usually held during the summer months; however, occasionally there are some held at different times of the year
All Documentation Workshops for 2013 have concluded. We will post 2014 dates and locations upon confirmation.
These workshops are presented by Dr. John Crain and Dr. Frank Kemerer, co-authors of The Texas Documentation Handbook: Appraisal, Non-renewal and Termination. The workshops are hosted at various school districts upon their request to TASPA.
